Description
Summary:AMPS (Asset Management and Production System) is a powerful web-based system that provides asset tracking and file hosting with synchronization services. With touch-screen mobile devices becoming significantly popular, a mobile application is considered as a must to extend web-based services effectively and to improve user experience enormously. This project aims to build a stable and user-friendly Android mobile application for AMPS, which is a continuation of an application originally written and designed by Nanyang Polytehnic alumni Tien Jie Junand Lee Zhuo Xun during their University Immersion Programme. To meet the new requirements and improve functional stability, this project builds a new Android application with references to the existing project. This document illustrates the development process including studies from similar marketed products, requirement analysis, design, implementation, challenge and future recommendations. As the result of this project, a new AMPS Android application has been built with brand-new interfaces, which provides a list of functionalities about project traversing and assets management actions for assets and folders.
