Summary:BAOZHA! is a hand-drawn, 2D animated, comedic short film that revolves around a guardian deity’s struggle to protect her assigned mortal. The film’s objective is to have audiences relate to the main character Baozha and touch on their humanistic desire of being appreciated. Producing a traditional 2D Animation can be compared to an Artist painting a masterpiece. Both require an arduous process of design and planning, with the purpose of reaching out to the audiences' emotions through visuals. nothing is accidental when producing the Art piece. Behind every intricate stroke, every pigment of color holds a series of careful thoughts and decisions made by the Artist. The end product is often visually pleasing and appreciated by its viewers. however, the hours spent, the rejections faced and the sacrifices made are often unseen. Therefore, this report is to give an elaborate documentation of the Final Year Project (FYP) fIlm, BAOZHA!, from its conception to production stages. The report will cover the process of making the film, cultural input, group dynamics, artistic and technical issues faced and the final product.
