| Summary: | The Girl Upstairs is a film about the importance of friendship and how it can change a person for the better. This film was intended as a sentimental tribute to our own friends and experiences with friendship. In order to achieve the desired effect, we chose to use a soft palette and environment design, and animation was kept to a minimum in order to accommodate the intricate painting style while allowing for a readable and accessible film.
This paper covers the process of making this film, from its early stages in pre-production to its final stages of clean-ups and colouring. It introduces the issues faced during the course of production while also documenting the work process and how said issues were overcome.
