| Summary: | This research explores the cultural heritage and development of Malaysian Chinese Children's Literature. As Malaysian Chinese literature was deeply influenced by political and social conditions, I have placed Malaysian Chinese Children's literature in it's historical context, so as to investigate literary adaptations brought about by Malaysian social, political and cultural transformations before and after the independence of Malaysia. My main emphasis will be on cultural continuity and localization of Malaysian Chinese Children's Literature. |
