Description
Summary:Mid-infrared laser with a broadband emission spectrum has attracted a lot of attention in recent years due to its broadband feature in the near-infrared wavelength range, in which there are many important applications including, but not limited to biomedical sciences, imaging, security, spectroscopy, gas/chemical sensing, communications, military applications and astronomy sciences. In this report, the focus will be on the electrical and optical characterization of high performance broadband mid-infrared lasers, and use it for sensing applications, and comparison with existing technology. Characterization of the mid-infrared lasers performance, such as light-current, voltage-current, and spectra characteristics will also be explored.
