Summary: | Controller Area Network communication devices has been around for quite some time in the automotive industry. It was first introduced in 1986 by Robert Bosch GmBh as it was a ground breaking technology. Since then, the method was used extensively in automotive and industrial, eventually to consumer products.
Digital display technologies in automotive is at its early stage. It has been used in aerospace machines as heads- up display to provide information quickly to pilots efficiently. In this report, digital display was developed and implemented onto NTU 3D-Printed car.
Even though digital communication proves efficient, it does pose some security threat in the application. The project aims to eliminate and provide solutions to the problem in security of CAN BUS and integrated electronics, such as internet of things (IOT). |
