The final year project, ‘Jingle all the way’ is a 2D animated film produced by incorporating the 2 main software, Adobe photoshop and Adobe illustrator. The film blends sketchy characters and their smooth, free flow of actions on clean vector designed background and props. The contrast brought by these two opposite visuals is the main design element of the film. The storyline of the film is clear and simple enough to target the younger audiences however, at the same time, the story bringing the self-awareness and realization of status at the end is embracing a deeper and more complex meanings underneath it. The film was directed and created by 2 animators, each taking the main role of visual development and storyboarding. The greatest focus of the production of film was on building up a constructive storyline that has clear pay off and development of mood. Therefore the production schedule was planned with much longer preproduction period to study and explore different variety of stories that can grow from a single theme or idea. About 6 different animatics were produced before deciding the final storyline. Each was to have distinctive start and ending to effectively bring out the desired mood and meaning. Christmas theme was consistent element was kept through out from the start till the end of the film. And the idea of people living inside the snow globe was a inspirational element from which different story lines could branch out.
