Summary:With the Smart Nation initiative announced by the government, agencies across the board has begun releasing data into the public domain. However, the different datasets released by different sources are fragmented and clustered. Furthermore, consumer applications made by both third party and official agency are lacklustre with confusing user interface or sparse in features. This project aims to explore how different data sources available publically can be integrated to solve existing problems or value add to current solutions. This project, in particular, will aggregate data from several sources such as the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and National Environment Agency (NEA). Using the data gathered, the project will present users with a comprehensive route overview comprising of traffic news, user reported information, directions and weather conditions. The subject covered in this report are, the motivations for developing this application, the vision and proposed development objectives, the research and planning before development, the development process, the testing and debugging methodology, the problems and challenges encountered, and the conclusion with future development ideas. This project will provide a framework on implementing data-driven application and speeding up the process of similar application.
