Description
Summary:Ink and wash painting requires sensitivity and control. Each drop of water or ink and every movement of the brush on the surface of the paper determines the outcome. However, every painting is ultimately unique as it is an art form that embraces the unpredictability of these elements working together. To gain a better understanding of the medium in which I have no former training in, I embarked on a personal study to experiment with ink painting. I then utilized my findings to form a variety of image-making approaches. As a result, a rhythm of textures and patterns is showcased through a series of paintings with a variety of subject matters and atmospheres. Throughout the process, I aim to also establish my own creative process.
