Description
Summary:This research report aims to analyze the impacts of distributed generation (DG), specifically in the case of PV modules, on distribution feeder lines. A MATLAB distribution line model will be set up to examine the relationship between line voltage level and station-DG distance. Subsequent simulations and analysis will provide insights on the implementation of DG along distribution feeder line. This report will also examine ordinary household daily power consumption pattern in the Singapore context, with/ without consideration of power injection from PV modules. Scenario formulation and simulation will be conducted to evaluate the impacts of PV power generation with/ without energy storage system on household daily load profile, and hence commends on the feasibility of PV modules implementation in households in the Singapore context. This project aims to give readers a holistic understanding of distributed PV generation and its potential development in Singapore. Readers will understand its feasibility better from both technical and social perspectives in the Singapore context.
