However, most of the mobile applications in the current market only focus on physical products and services, but lack of attention on ones’ skills and talents which are more valuable and more difficult to acquire in real life. Learning of new talents and new skills are always demanding but not always been satisfied. One main reason is vague information on the market’s demand and supply. Therefore, it is desirable to design and develop a mobile application that can deliver relevant market information to people who has needs, in the meanwhile can provide a learning platform for people to share skills, talents and interests in a cost-effective manner. The author has implemented this mobile application named ‘Talent.X’ on Android operating system with both database design and application functional design. Database design contains implementations of Entity-Relationship diagram and table structures. Application functional design focuses on three main features: User- friendliness, Interactive Experience and Security. Functions are designed and developed according to these three features. This report starts with the author’s motivation, objective and market research, and followed by the details of both server side and client side implementations. Last but not least, some recommendations have been made so that this application can better serve the market in future.
