Description
Summary:Designers of 5G Communication Network is developing this novel heterogeneous network with smaller and densified cells of various spectrum frequencies and technical specifications. However, the deployment of such cellular units poses challenges for its authentication processes. Users are more likely to travel across boundaries of Cellular Network and Wireless Local Area Network due to their natural mobility. The security of users’ confidentiality and time delay performance are highly concerned in terms of 5G Heterogeneous Network’s architecture and user behavior. This is because extensive authentication vertical handover processes are involved in conjunction with those movements. More reliable authentication processes must be provided to prevent common malicious attacks such as replay attacks, man-in-middle attacks, impersonation attacks and many more. The objective of this project is to propose a novel cryptography-based authentication protocol to address the above issues.
