The semi-autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicle is a semi-autonomous aircraft that operates with no pilot on board and can be remotely controlled by a pilot at a ground station. In this project, our Unmanned Aerial Vehicle are built from scratch with missions to successfully navigating through the obstacle course and completing a series of tasks in Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition. Microcontroller has been integrated on flight controller to enable customizing, to bypass throttle and perform altitude hold; to perform failsafe capability when loss signal as well as to interact with electronic components such as Servo motor and Sonar. Radio Control Transmitter have been used to transmit video back to the ground station and remotely control the UAV of change flight mode, drop ball as well as turn on LED. In total, 4 scoring factors Smart (10 points), Aerial Platform (25 points), Mission Accomplished (65 points) and Presentation (10 points) are taken into consideration for the championship award, and our team has successfully won 2 medals: Bronze Medal in Championship Award and Silver Medal in Best Platform Award in the Semi- autonomous Category.
