Artisitck A : a new, convenient way of light painting
Light painting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand- held light source while taking a long exposure photograph. The conventional method for light painting is limited to a single light source and is relatively difficult to adopt. In this FYP the author will explor...

The conventional method for light painting is limited to a single light source and is relatively difficult to adopt. In this FYP the author will explore on building an inventive and advanced light painting tool named Artistic. This project uses a simple programmable LED strip with Arduino Uno and an SD card reader, to produce images that can be captured with a camera’s long exposure shots. The hardware and software implementation of Artistick will be discussed in Chapter 3. The author will also explore in image processing to get the best possible results. An add on POV display is also proposed as an improvement to this project. Similarly, the POV uses the LED strip with Arduino with minor changes in the hardware and software implementation which will be elaborated in detail in Chapter 4. The results show that Artistick will greatly reduce the hassle of light painting and is a viable platform for many artists or photographers.
