總結:This report is done as a final year project (FYP), as partial fulfilment of the requirements of the Bachelor of Engineering (EEE) program at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The main objective of this project is to aid ordinary users into programming, by offering them a platform to input robotic logic into a wheeled ground robot. This report will provide a background on the modification of a ground robot into an autonomous robot. Discussion of the breakdown of its components, ways in which improvisation were made to the components’ existing features is given with the aid of illustrations. The programming codes that were used, will be reviewed and relevant explanations will be given - to help end users understand how the robot actually works. A maze-like setup was also constructed to ensure the testing environment for the robot remained consistent. For this project, proximity sensors were used as detectors for the robot to navigate through the maze-like condition. A Graphical User Interface (GUI) was created to allow users to input their logic to navigate the robot’s direction. Details on how the GUI was made will also be discussed in the report. Moreover, this report discusses the brainstorming process, the project build-up and progress, the challenges encountered and their respective solutions, as well as the direction for future research/project by suggesting several improvements that can be made to the present autonomous robot model.
