Both software (imagination) and hardware (junk) were used in this project. The main objective of this project is to upgrade the existing didactic classroom to the next generation, modern and easy-to-use classroom. For the operator of the classroom, they are expected to experience a user friendly wireless touch panel, AMX MVP-9000i. The GUI design software, AMX TPDesign is able to design easy-to-understand pages for the touch panel. In contrast, the backbone of the system is not so “designer friendly”. The powerful master controller, AMX DVX-3150HD is able to handle complex controlling and audio video matrix switching. It works mutually with its own proprietary software, AMX Netlinx Studio to provide a stable and reliable system. On the other hand, a video conference system, Radvision Scopia XT-1000 Series is integrated into the system. It provides a 2 way full High Definition video connection between 2 video conference systems. By integrating all the hardware and software above, a multi-functional smart classroom new look was designed and implemented.
