Countries like Singapore with abundant rainfall and uniformly high temperature are taking more focus on the indoor thermal comfort to provide better working environment. For this project, the initial target is to collect sensor data and visualize the environmental information. With the knowledge of sensor localization technique, a physical wireless sensor network test bed was set up in a closed laboratory environment. The purpose is to analyze the sensor data by using data analysis tools. By visualizing the data and find the particular trend of the data, the wireless sensor network test bed could be used to determine the environmental variables in the experimental site. Thermal comfort now is an important factor especially in working environment because it influences the productivity and human health significantly. Although static single temperature control is largely used in current buildings and industries, adaptive thermal comfort model air conditioning could provide a more occupants satisfied environment and save energy. Through the wireless sensor network test bed, we can get the wanted information and characterize the thermal comfort for the targeted building.
