It provides electricity to homes, fuels to cars and without natural resources, there will be chaos everywhere. Natural resources can be split into 2 types, renewable and non-renewable. Examples of non-renewable sources are natural gas and coal. Examples of renewable sources are solar and wind. The purpose of this project is to build a solar micro inverter. The project contains 2 main components, the DC-DC converter and DC-AC inverter. MATLAB software is used to test and simulate the inverter. After finishing simulation, building the physical inverter begins. Outputs from dSPACE are used as a control signal to the IGBTs. A power supply unit will act as a solar panel, source, for the micro inverter.
