Description
Summary:Radar has been around for so many years. The technology of Radar has never stop improving and it is still evolving. The study and research of Radar has been ongoing and still at large till date. In this project, Software-Defined Radio, computer, external Radio Frequency components, Visual Studio, and some other software has been used for the implementation of the Radar system design and measurements using software-defined radio. Some of the principles of radar are also being discussed and applied. The USRP (Universal Software Defined Radio) is a powerful hardware that is flexible and low in cost to achieve the requirement of the project. Whereas, Visual Studio is a great software tool which is flexible and widely available. Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FM-CW) Radar, with a center frequency of 15 GHz, bandwidth of 160 MHz is implemented in this project. GPS synchronization is being discussed to create a radar network system.
