Description
Summary:This project is about the investigation of about building a PCB attached with LEDs in order to simulate daylight. Research is done on the LED technologies as well as other form of lighting operations. The motivation behind this project is to use a more commercial form of lighting that is cheaper than traditional lighting applications that are currently available in many households and offices today. By building the prototype board with warm and cool white LEDs, this project seeks to show that proper daylight emulation is capable with LEDs which are energy efficient and capable of digital control. By using simulation software Photopia, the LED performances are measured and they show that the illuminance and luminous flux values are satisfactory to provide proper lighting in commercial applications. With this results, it can be shown that LED lighting can become a more efficient way to provide light in houses and offices. Controlling the LED with drivers give a myriad of avenues that can also be explored in future researches.
