Description
Summary:Physical appearance seems to be emphasized by more and more people, especially for those who want to show off their best and confidence. Hairstyling, dressing or making up... people have thought out much to improve their appearance in various perspectives and care for skin is a significant one of them. Skin care is a range of practice or routine procedure to keep skin in a balanced condition, promote the health as well as prevent the external injury. Healthy looking skins make people looks young and pretty. The associated principles rapidly developed in modern society and became increasingly important for people, in particular for the young. Because of a high number of potential customers, a few mobile applications were developed to focus on the group of people regarding skincare services. Outstanding examples are MeiFuJia and mySkin, which are both taking considerable market shares. However, nearly all of these applications emphasize the skin-care advice and product recommendation. Few applications highlight the improvement of skincare process itself. With research of market demand, an Android mobile application titled as SkinDiary was developed to provide a technologically convenient platform for consumers concerning skin condition's testing, tracking, and experience sharing. The application aims to enable consumers to record their skin conditions with a unified standard and share their skincare experiences and approaches with others.
