Summary: | In the earlier years, steam thermal power system was used to power up electrical load in Singapore by using crude oil material. By consuming of crude oil to generate electricity can create emission of carbon gases into the atmosphere. Therefore, the crude oil material was soonest renewed by using natural gas that imported by our neighbour country after several years later. Over the past ten years, Singapore government has been highly implemented the growing of the clean energy industry to reduce electricity generated by the natural gas. Renewable energy able to gain plenty of advantages on more sustainable without use out resources, less maintenance on the traditional generator, reduce cost on operation and no other chemical pollution to impact the environment. Hence, EMA started their aim on wide application to several areas of residential building in Singapore. The project aims is to study, investigate, calculate and design a complete microgrid network which integrate the operations of renewable distributed generators on photovoltaic system, wind turbine generator and lift regenerative system to supply the necessary energy to the load on public facilities. Power electronics components of inverter and rectifier circuit are required to model for the operation in the microgrid. |
