Description
Summary:Advancement of technology and availability of gadgets at affordable prices has brought about the possibility of e-textbooks, e-classes and e-examinations. Classes are no longer confined to face-to-face classroom discussions. E-Learning can be associated with “online distance learning” where students can attend online classes and achieve academic certification solely based on E-Learning. This project aims to develop a Web Based E-Learning avenue for students of School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering. This E-Learning Portal were developed using the waterfall model, which is a common method for website design. Prior to launching the portal, there are 6 phases of development, namely Initial Phrase, Design, Implementation, Integration, Testing and lastly, Project Improvement. [1] After evaluating the various options available during the initial phase, we have opted to use online web builder, Wix.com, photo editor Preview and Paint with animated illustration created using Microsoft PowerPoint and embedded into the Portal using YouTube. Serious consideration was made based on the user-friendliness, cost and presentation. The E-Learning portal was set up with the aim of providing a simple and easy-to-use, yet informative and interactive site for students.
