Description
Summary:As mobile applications continuously evolve with more functions added and have become more convenient and popular, it is slowly taking over the traditional ways of doing things around the world. For example, people who want to do some light computing task like composing emails will turn to their mobile applications now instead of using their computer [1]. Thus more and more users turn to mobile applications as it will be much more efficient to complete their task; easily and on the go. This project aims to develop an application for the Job Coaches from Singapore Corporation of Rehabilitative Enterprises (SCORES), who manage the individual cases of ex-offenders. The Mobile application will allow the Job Coaches to update the status of the ex-offenders on the go; when they visit the sites to interview the ex-offenders. Job Coaches play an important role in reintegrating the ex-offenders back into society as the Job Coaches are the ones that connect the ex-offenders to the external parties like the employers. They also give recommendations to the ex-offenders if any issues arise. Thus, helping the Job Coaches is equivalent to helping more ex-offenders in a way. Given the rapid increase in the usage of mobile applications, software developers have been expanding the functions available on mobile devices. Some functions like accessing information become much easier as compared to the past. Therefore, by accessing the data required by the Job Coaches using a mobile application would have led to a quicker and effective way for the Job Coaches to complete their tasks. With the increase in efficiency, more time can be spent in helping more ex-offenders.
