It can happen in any single or a combination of four valves in human’s heart, but the most commonly occurrences is at the aortic valve, where this disease known as aortic stenosis. Therefore, mechanical and tissue valve are currently used as an aortic valve replacement. Currently, the surgeon is having difficulties holding the surgical clipper to hold the tissue valve, and various methods and designs of the holder to replace over the surgical clipper is proposed for this project. Initially, the design of the holder with the ball clamps that I have proposed is not appropriate as the contact surface area is rather small, then the holder with the linkages is complexed. And eventually, the simple and yet easy to make holder is achievable for this design project.
