One of the tests performed to determine the Decomposition Temperature of the material was by using Thermogravimetric Analysis technique. Moreover, Differential Scanning Calorimetric machine was used to determine the Glass Transition Temperature for PEI polymer. The procedures on how the tests were done were explained in the report. Indentation test was also carried out by implementing Confocal Imaging Profiler for surface scanning. Shape memory effect of the specimen was studied by scanning 3D and cross section profiles of the specimen before and after indentation as well as after reheating for recovery. Furthermore, tensile and compression tests were also performed on PEI polymer samples by means of Shimadzu Universal Material Testing machine. Tensile testing enabled to study the shape memory effects on the specimen after tensile elongation and after reheating for recovery. Compression test was done for the study of the shape memory effects after compression and recovery after releasing the compression as well as reheating.
