Description
Summary:The project objective is to investigate the relationship between EEG activities and cognitive performance across different walking speed. Matlab software was firstly applied to perform filtering on the recorded raw EEG signal and then useful data were also extracted by Matlab from the filtered EEG signal to undergo statistic analytical and correlation tests. While other frequency bands which are associated with creativity and memory were not found to be affected by the different walking speeds in this study, there was a significant correlation relationship discovered between the Perceived Arousal level and the Gamma frequency band. Findings in this study are useful to support the results of the cognitive performances from the respective walking session, especially the significant cognitive performance improvement of the Stroop Colour Word (SCW) test after fast walking.
