Summary:Formula SAE (FSAE) is a student design competition organized by SAE International. FSAE competition is a new competition that NTU is looking to compete. There is a need to understand the rules and regulation as well as the design requirements for this competition. In addition, there is also a need to find out the factors leading to the competitor’s success in the competition. This report will present the study of the scoring system of FSAE Competition plus the usage of different designs schools used on tacking the guidelines set by FSAE. The report will include the pros and cons of each competitor’s vehicle, followed by the testing on the panel stiffness as compared to the steel pipe, which came from the preliminary design on the carbon fiber Monocoque design.
