Design and development of a bike fitting program

This project sets out to leverage on the advancement of technology to do bike fitting for cyclists instead on relying solely on a human bike fitter. It aims to design and develop a bike fitting software using the platform of Matlab for LOUE Bicycles . The bike fitting program is set out to determin...

It aims to design and develop a bike fitting software using the platform of Matlab for LOUE Bicycles . The bike fitting program is set out to determine 4 key parameters: saddle height, saddle setback, handlebar reach, and handlebar drop, by the user-inputs of its cyclist. These inputs consist of anthropometric measurements: foot, tibia, femur, torso, upper arm, and fore arm lengths. In addition, 8 input angles will be determined by using the Retul Motion Capture Technology. Anthropometric data for Singapore adults (18-45 years) will be used as the first estimated values for the anthropometric measurements. Subsequently, values from LOUE Bicycles Bike fitting reports will be used. C++ Programming and SolidWorks are used to audit the accuracy of the developed bike fitting program. Final results of the bike fitting program will be displayed in a dialogue box using Matlab.
