Description
Summary:The increase use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAVs) also known as autonomous aerial vehicle has increase tremendously for the past few years be it for military or civilian use. Accessibility and availability of autonomous technologies has encouraged huge range of UAVs been deployed. This project involved developing of flying eye, GPS-based self localization and autopilot control which allows UAV to operate without getting assistance from the human operators or pilot, consisting of both hardware configuration and its supporting software. The objective of this project is to develop a flying camera system for unmanned surface vehicle which act as an eyes for the surface vehicle in the sky. It also cooperate with global positioning system (GPS) and autopilot control system in which consistently guide or navigate UAVs through some waypoints, reference path and other stages such as landing, return to launch, altitude hold and move to targeted location. Autopilot works with other UAV control system, it needs to receive broadcast signal from GPS satellite for its position updates followed by communicate with ground control station for control mode switch and finally send control inputs to the motors on UAVs.
