Summary: | Antennas are key components in wireless communication systems. So in this dissertation, we studied various types of antenna’s modelling & design deployed with different modelling types and their performances have been calculated in different conditions by using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Microwave Studio software. Several modelling of antenna has been done to make the study in-depth. Below is the description of antennas for which we have done the modelling and design. Basically horn antennas will operate at microwave frequencies due to this performance of horn antenna reduces. So to achieve the maximum gain here we increase the radius of the cylindrical/conical horn. A parabolic antenna is an antenna that uses a parabolic reflector, a curved surface with the cross-sectional shape of a paraboloid, to direct the radio waves. The horn antenna is placed adjacent to parabolic reflector such that the waves are to be transmitted parallel to cylindrical horn aperture in order to be shifted 180˚ in phase and being reflected back parallel to the main axis. Moreover here we use parabolic reflector antenna to have a high directivity for radio waves. Microstrip or patch antennas are becoming increasingly useful because they can be printed directly onto a circuit board. Microstrip antennas are becoming very widespread within the mobile phone communication systems. Patch antennas are low cost, have a low profile and are easily fabricated. In this dissertation, we will do a deep study on rectangular and circular patch antennas and also the differences between single patch and array of patch antennas. Modelling of patch antenna has been done in the way to increase the gain and directivity. |
