Description
Summary:Energy can neither be created nor be destroyed but energy can be conserved from getting wasted. Today the entire research industry is on mandate of energy conservation. According to Ericsson, by 2020, there will be 50 billion of connected devices which is seven times the total world population. So the monitoring and utilization of such a huge quantity of devices is impossible as a human. So we are in need of developing automation systems in order to overcome such difficulties. This can be achieved by using smart wireless intelligent sensors which are the heart of the term coined "Internet of Things (IoT) and " Big data analytics" The data collected from the sensors have wide range of benefits. These data can be properly analysed and can be utilized effectively for efficient energy conservation in a smart way. The overall objective of this projet at ERI@N is to contribute to the development of a smart ambience monitoring system for efficient energy conservation and also for effective data analytics in order to provide a green and smart environment to the users with efficient energy usage and reduced wastage. An integrated application providing service on web and an effective data acquisition tool is required for the purpose of development of an effective office wide monitoring system. We have developed both the tool and a Web App interface for the user to hold on with their data anytime. This service can be utilized effectively by users for better energy conservation in several ways. Today, people will connect to a network in innumerable ways viz,. PCs, tablets, TVs and smart phones. As the Internet evolves towards Internet of Things (IoT), people can monitor their performance of WSN via any of the above devices anytime, anywhere and can make efficient and brilliant decisions according to their necessities.
