Upon brainstorming of several possible solutions to implement, the solution surrounding examination settings (Examination Attendance Taking) has been chosen to work on. Current practice for attendance taking in examination requires significant amount of human efforts and physical resources, it may also introduce identity verification discrepancies when human error occurs; the solution had been chosen to minimize efforts required by administrative staff and reduce the use of physical resources such as paper and pen. The NFC solution, which makes use of NFC-enabled devices and the RFID tag within the matriculation card, will also mitigate the verification discrepancies through the use of online information. As an actual implementation could not be promptly realized due the nature of the settings, a mock implementation was instead performed. The results of the mock implementation indicates that administrative staff no longer need to spend time on printing and collating attendance sheets and physical resources are significantly reduced because all information are delivered in the form of digital data. The project continued to look at how reading of the matriculation number from the card could be simplified for other developers to implement so as to save time and effort of rewriting common codes which reads the data needed. Overall, the attempt of simplifying activities in this project's context had been proven to succeed through the adoption of technology.
