Due to the aging population in Singapore, a system which allows customization of rehabilitation exercise will play an important role in improving the daily activities of a patient suffering from a stroke. Most rehabilitation exercise tool does not allow customization of exercise for the patient and the incorporating of the game into the system. The purpose of the project is to create a web application which allows the users to customize the rehabilitation exercise based on the patient’s medical condition. The web application would only focus on the customization of the upper extremity exercise for the patient. A web application will be developed which allow users to create a rehabilitation exercise plan for their patient. The users are allowed to select the type of upper extremity movement that they want their patient to practice, the mini-game which will allow them to exercise their affected upper extremity and also game schedules such as angle for shoulder and elbow, frequency, the number of round total minutes for the game. The user can also view the plan created for their patient in order to keep track of patient’s progress. An advanced setup feature for the create plan will also be available for the expert user where less graphical image will be displayed and it will be faster in creating the plan. The structure of the web application was designed for high scalability and maintainability where each feature and layers are separated that enable less time and effort for future enhancement work. Additional features can also be added in the future to enhance user experience and to make improvement to the web application. All requirements and objectives of the project are accomplished at the end of the project.
