Description
Summary:This report gives overview of the wireless sensor network and its communication structure. The main task of the project is to implement the ultra-low power protocol for wireless sensor network using ultra-wideband impulse radio (UWB-IR) technology. The characteristics of UWB-IR technique are low power consumption, low interference, low complexity, low cost and high ranging precision. The current IEEE standards are also discussed and IEEE 802.15.4a is implemented in this project. The IEEE 802.15.4a standard is the protocol that consumes low power and it can make the ranging be more accurate. The implementation demonstrates on hardware, and the Beagle Bone Black is required to be ready to load data from ARM level. Finally, the symbols in the standard packet are verified.
