Cloud resources provided by cloud providers have been increasingly popular recently and is widely used by many companies. However, it is difficult to determine the best cost efficient way to use the cloud resources as the factors involved are not obvious.
This report presents a cloud provisioning system to test a variety of cloud provisioning methods and find out which method is the best to provision cloud resources to process computational workload. To find out which method is the best, the cost and time spent are measured, analyzed, and compared.
The cloud provisioning system is made of four parts, namely provisioning, prediction, scheduling and execution. The system first provisions the cloud resources using the efficient job schedule. The system then uses predicted jobs execution times and schedules jobs in an efficient manner to ensure that cloud resources are running jobs efficiently. |
