The Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) is being held in Singapore every year. The students who are at the end of their final year of primary school education which is primary 6 will need to sit for this national. A student can sit for PSLE as long as he or she is studying in an approved institution in Singapore [1]. Chinese is one of the important subjects mainly as a mother tongue subject for students who are Chinese or whoever use Mandarin as their mother tongue. This subject will be tested in PSLE. Other those who need to pick up the subject as their mother tongue subject, there will be students who are of other race or nationality pick up this subject due to their personal interest. To perform well in their Chinese Language examination, the students must recognize different Chinese characters throughout their student lives in primary school. the students need to be very familiar with the Chinese vocabulary as well as their different meaning, pronunciation, usage and so on as all these are Chinese vocabulary that will be tested in the examinations. Improving their vocabulary for the students will result in better performance during their oral test, comprehension test, writing a good composition and perform well during their PSLE examinations.
