| Summary: | This research aims to establish a linkage between Psychological theories and Technology by creating an application that will recommend applications based on a personality theory which makes use of the user’s application usage to estimate the measures of extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness of the user.
To study the validity of calculated personality based on application usage on a mobile device, we will be making use of the Goldberg big 5 personality test which will be conducted to distinguish the similarities of both results. At the same time, we would be recommending applications based on the result of the user’s application usage.
Findings from this study could be further developed for target marketing in future, by considering the user’s application usage to market a wide range of applications and advertisements personalize to every user. |
