Moreover, website nowadays are easy to understand and elderly can also learn how to use technology. In order assist in building the website, database and server are used to store the records and data of the patient. Research also show that elderly often use the technology and internet to learn more about healthcare knowledge and to search for more information about healthcare services. They want to stay young at heart and keep in flow so that they can have something to talk to their children and grandchildren. The website will provide a more convenient way for the elderly to access their own medical information and check whether their condition is improving or not. The design of the website must be elderly- friendly so that the elderly would be able to navigate around the website. Visual problems arise for the elderly, for example, if the font is too small or unusual or the color is too bright. Other problems such as too small or closely spaced might also be an issue. It should reduce memory capacity so to say the website should have very few steps to navigate around. In conclusion, usability guideline provide suggestions for direction in website design. The information will be clearly shown so the elderly will not have a hard time navigating.
