In this fast paced society, time is very important and valuable. According to a survey held by Today newspaper on 2013, the issue of waiting time across all public healthcare institution holds a high importance on respondents’ minds. Hence, this report will discuss the development of MediQue, a web-based queue retrieval application which aim to help the users to monitor and retrieved queue away from the healthcare institutions. The development of the system follows an iterative system development lifecycle as user feedback is important. The user interface will be developed using bootstrap framework, and Google Map API is being used to display map interface to the user. The system will be programmed with PHP for server side processing and javaScript will be used to allow dynamic and smooth display on HTML pages. The network architecture of MediQue is client-server architecture and the application is being designed with Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture to enable flexibility in adapting with changes. To provide scalability, mySql database is being used to hold all the data.
