Summary: | Across the globe, Electronic Vehicles (EVs) have been rapidly developing as an
alternative to the traditional petrol car. For EVs to be used effectively in the country,
charging stations need to be built all around the country for the EVs to have a
convenient location to charge. As such, many countries are researching into building
EV charging stations in locations that are effective and efficient.
The objective of this project is to improve a simulator that simulates the EV charging
behaviour such that the program will be more user-friendly and data generated more
accurate. This data can then be collected by researchers to evaluate the performance
of the location of the charging station. The main parameters of simulator to be set are
the vehicle settings, station settings and vehicle generator settings. The movement of
the cars are then displayed on the map and output of the simulation can be exported as
an Excel sheet for the use of further analysis. |
