Summary: | Electroencephalograms (EEGs) are used increasingly in research to better understand the human brain. Recent research has been able to use EEGs to determine the emotion and stress levels of a subject. [1] As such, using an EEG can give a better insight as to how a person feels about a product or service. By analysing the emotions and stress levels of a subject at a point of time, it is possible to understand how the subject views about a product; if the product is difficult and stressful to use, the emotions of the subject will react negatively. [1] One such method to display the emotion and stress level of the subject is by using Cognimeter. This tool uses gauges to display the current emotion and stress level of the subject at any given moment. [2] However, the use of Cognimeter is limited in the regard that it can only show the summary of the emotions and stress level of the subject, as well as only at that point in time. It is not capable of replaying the information which would allow researchers to determine at which point the subject was unsatisfied or stressed out by the product. As such, it can be improved upon to reflect a more accurate and relatable assessment of the subject at any given time. |
