Description
Summary:Teaching concepts to young children is always challenging because each individually learn things differently. There exists many methods to teach young children but which is a better method to impart knowledge? In this project, we will explore the effectiveness of tangible user interface on learning kit and how we can further enhance the interface to capture young children’s attention so that they are able to observe the direct relationship between tangible object and the concept that the learning kit is trying to illustrate. A learning kit is developed and it allow users to physically manipulate tangible objects to explore spatial relationships of mathematics concepts and an improved interface for continuous exploration. A survey was also conducted to evaluate and gauge the effectiveness of the learning kit and the results are satisfactory. Some suggestion on future developments such as how to improve the user experience and interface were also recommended.
