Summary: | Fuel Cell is one of the uprising technology in the world that provides clean and green energy through an abundant resource – Hydrogen. Yet monitoring and controlling them is a challenge to many. In this report, a monitor and control system will be outlined, designed and constructed using Python v3.4.4 programming, Microsoft Azure Web deployment, online database server and hardware components consisting of Raspberry Pi and Arduino to house those coding.
In the flow of the report, the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system that is written in Python coding and deployed in the main centralized unit – Raspberry Pi, will be explored and explained. Followed by analysis of hardware peripherals such as Raspberry Pi camera and control peripherals schematics – relay circuits and Arduino setup. Next, an online server which is run by MySQL relational database will be explored and be explained for its purpose in the system. A mobile application will also be constructed and used which could obtain the real-time and historical value of the fuel cell in a graphical form from the online server for analysis. Bluetooth connection through the application for hardware controls will also be explored on. Lastly, website deployment through Microsoft Azure and Raspberry Pi live feed through a Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) will be explored in this report. Note that the sensory part of the system through the Arduino will not be covered in this report. |
