Description
Summary:Non-destructive testing (NDT) is a method of analysis that is used in science and technology industries. It allows the user to evaluate the properties of a material, component or system without resorting to processes that might destroy it or affect its properties. Non-destructive testing is primarily used to ensure the safe operations of engineering components. It can be used to detect the defects lying within the component, which determines whether the component is compromised or in need of repair. This project will incorporate augmented reality to perform non-destructive testing to allow the user to interact with the system when performing the inspection.
