Description
Summary:In today’s fast paced and constantly developing world, many countries and industries are always focused on the growth of their wealth through mass production of consumer products and services. However, sometimes the measures that are taken in order to improve their economy comes with a hefty price. The price paid is the damage inflicted on our planet’s environment caused by the pollution that resulted from these actions and facilities. The pollution resulted from these actions can sometimes cause harm to human health. For example, air pollution from factories or vehicle emissions can negatively impact a population’s health. In this report, the experimental results taken from a few methods of air purification will be presented and compared. A prototype will then be designed and developed to combine or alter some of these methods to improve its effectiveness. A comparison will then be carried out between the new design and existing designs. Critical parameters that affect the efficiency and effectiveness of the air purifier will then be identified using the data collected. At the end of this report, difficulties met while carrying out the project will be highlighted and targets will be set for rectification of these problems. Future improvements for the new design will also be identified.
