With many different devices out in the market such as motion camera, ultra-wide band sensors, accelerometers and etc. this papers looks towards ultrasonic sensors to obtain accurate data for foot clearance measurement. With the changes in the world’s lifestyle, there comes a need to have a monitoring system. A wearable, wireless, simple, system comprising of ultra-sonic sensors help achieve this goal. A combination of software like, Arduino and Android Studio is utilized to help create this portable device. By collecting the data of the heel lift, toe lift, heel strike and toe strike, the walking stride can be formulated which helps monitor the gait of the user.
