The world is therefore forced to invest in the use of technology into institutions to meet the needs of the students.
In collaboration with the Correctional Rehabilitation Services Branch (RT) of the Singapore Prison Service, this project aims to convert a 68-page substance abuse self-help booklet into 8 android applications. The applications will consist of written information, interactive exercises and videos.
The features of the applications include the implementation of Text-to-Speech function to enhance the youth offenders’ understanding of the content, the integration of Database Management System to improve the efficiency of monitoring the learning progress of the youth offenders, and the integration of Google Analytics to improve the efficiency of monitoring the usage of the applications.
The applications aim to generate the youth offenders’ interest in gaining more awareness of their substance abuse problem through the use of the applications. |
