Description
Summary:In this project, a typical Grid-tied Solar System and Off-Grid Solar System are analyzed and components included for the implementation of the two systems will be explained in details to provide a better understanding of how the entire Solar Energy System operates. The focus of this project is to develop a DC-DC converter, which can convert energy directly from the sun into electrical energy to ease electricity usage in Singapore. Electricity generated from the converter will be applicable for use in general households to power certain DC loads. Portable power banks are utilized as storage devices for the electricity generated. Various improvements and features in this report would provide a better alternative to implement the entire Solar Energy System. Figures and tables are utilized to provide a better understanding throughout this project. Lastly, the conclusion portion will summarize the results and future improvements of the project such as implementing an inverter to convert Direct Current (DC) to Alternating Current (AC) to power other household appliances.
