Description
Summary:This paper presents a novel idea to have an auto-HUD. The system configuration comprises of Arduino Uno, Vehicle Simulator, Bluetooth Module and Display panel. By using Arduino to create a Bluetooth network between vehicle’s Engine Control Unit and Light Emitting Diode Display. Parameters that are calculated in the vehicle’s ECU will be project out into the LED Display. By entering into different type of modes of the ECU, data such as speed of the vehicle could be easily retrieved into the Arduino and send it to the LED driver to control the corresponding LED Display to be lighted up. Furthermore, with ELM327 attachment, this system has the ability to retrieve data from any model of vehicle as long as the vehicle has the supported OBD2 connector inside the vehicle.
